Well, just quietly – yesterday was my birthday (shhh).
I’m not normally a big celebration person, but I took the day off work to hang out with Jakk and swan around Sydney doing fun things.
This dress was a bit of a punt – it was bargin priced (for 1940’s rayon) due to some small holes but I wasnt sure if it would fit my hips. Turns out it fitted beautifully and the holes were easily mended. That fabric, oh my!
After High Tea, we headed up Oxford Street which is full swing for Mardi Gras. ANZ Bank is one of the sponsers, and they’ve blinged out a heap of their cash machines to GAYTMs.
We found the sailor one – apparently there is a blinged out unicorn GAYTM around somewhere too.

And finally, ending the night with Bingay – gay bingo! It raises money for the Aids Council of NSW, and is one of the funniest events on during Mardi Gras.
Unfortunately, the drag-queen host found out it was my birthday which lead to a lot of embarrassing attention…
