Curvy Month Pattern – Penelope M1362 Bow-Neck Cardigan, c 1940s

Don’t let the model fool you, this cardigan is all about action!

I think all good cardigans have a bow on them somewhere, and a neck tie is perfection. The cardigan has panels of pattern down the chest, and matching panels down the sleeves – no boring stocking stitch for this book-loving matron!

Sized for a 38-40 inch bust, from the mid 1940s I believe. This one is on my To Knit list for sure.

Sorry, I just noticed there’s a linking error for the third page – it’s linking to page two! Thank you for sharing your stash of very cute vintage knitting patterns!

Hi Bex, I am looking for a particular knitting pattern, however, the instruction page 2 is unreadable (the scan is too small). Maybe you have time to fix it? It’s much appreciated – thanks for sharing all those lovely patterns!

      Hi DOris!
I think it happened when I moved across to WordPress – i’ll try and find the Penelope pattern again to rescan. Thanks for letting me know.
