Want a blog post full of pretty pictures of the Love Vintage Fair?
Sorry to disappoint (again) but the lighting was terrible!
I took so many photos (including some with Jen from Barnhouse – hello and thanks for the free tickets!) and they all came out dingy and dark.
I only just remembered to get Jakk to snap some photos of my outfit when we got home – so please excuse the messy hair from trying on hats.
The dress is a woolen ‘Cirilo’, that I nabbed in Chicago back in April for $50. I’ve been waiting on a cold enough occasion to wear it as its pretty warm.
Normally I find most late 40s dresses too tight to wear across my hips (pear shaped), but the contrast taffeta pleat gives an extra inch or two which is perfect. The top rever also folds up and fastens with the diamante brooch.
Monty wants his photo taken too! |

October 8, 2012 at 1:39 pmWow, what an awesome dress! It fits you perfectly!
I did the Melb. Love Vintage this weekend (Sunday), it seemed a bit subdued. My shopping was quite modest, one Australian Home Journal, complete with patterns. It has some wonderful knitting patterns you would absolutely love. Keep an eye out for a post later this week.
