1940s Novelty pattern jumper in jacquard effect

Are they wheat sheafs?
Upside down birds?
Corn cobs?
Fleur de lis?

Your guess is as good as mine, and this jumper/sweater/ pullover calls itself a nod to the 1920s novelty jumpers available a few decades earlier.
The novelty patterns are done in intarsia, with written instructions (not charted).
Interestingly, the tops of the sleeves are darted.
