1940s War-era multi-coloured triangular turban and matching neck scarf from Stitchcraft (421)

Description

A lovely pattern for a knitted triangular turban (head scarf) and matching scarf – both knitted in a lace stitch using multicoloured yarn as a way to use up oddments.

‘Make Do and Mend’ and being careful with your rations/coupons meant any 1940’s woman could still look stylish despite shortages.

• Yarn: Fingering weight
• Needles: UK 13 and size 9 crochet hook, Metric 2.25mm and 3.75mm hook.
