Description
Historical Stitches Pattern 1011 – easy to sew and easy to wear!
A beautiful hawaiian tea-timer (pake) blouse from the 1950s – available in sizes S-M-L-XL!
I graded this pattern to provide multiple sizes – the original was not available in XL size and why should volup sewers miss out?
I’m wearing a Large size in the listing photo, and my bust measures 44”(110cm).
Instant Download to print yourself at home on USA letter and A4 sized paper.
***** Description *****
Easy to wear and stylish, the tea-timer is a 1950s wardrobe staple. The pattern is kimono-sleeved, with bust darts and a mandarin collar. Chinese frog closures and front pockets finish the design.
***** Sizes (to fit bust)*****
Small – 34-36” (85-90cm)
Medium – 38-40” (95-100cm)
Large – 42-44” (105-110cm)
XLarge – 46-48” (115-120cm)
This pattern can be worn loose or more fitted depending on personal taste, and I recommend making a test version as vintage ‘fit’ is different to modern tastes.
***** Fabric*****
Recommended for medium weight fabrics: medium weight cotton, rayon, barkcloth, quilters cotton, cotton sateen.
All sizes can be made with under 3 yards of fabric (2.7m).
***** Printing*****
This pattern is printed out on 24 pages.
The instructions are printed out on 5 pages.
***** More information about this pattern *****
Historical Stitches patterns are digital reproductions of original patterns, normally only in one size. The original instructions are included, which are not as comprehensive as modern sewing pattern instructions. I am more than willing to provide tech assistance if you need it. Because of this I would not recommend Historical Stitches patterns for brand new sewers.
**************************
The pattern is in a two part Download – an instruction file and a pattern file.
The digital pattern can be printed on either A4 or 8.5″ x 11″ paper.
I would suggest the difficulty rating for this pattern as an Easy Intermediate.
I can also email it to you instead if requested.
