This knitted dress and bolero just shout fun in the sun!
A halter neck dress, with wide pleated skirt teams perfectly with a sweet matching bolero. The stripes are created with a slip-stitch pattern.
This dress is (surprisingly) knitted using 1/4 inch silk or rayon ribbon, with a quoted cost to make of $50-60 in 1948. That would have been quite a bit of money in the post-War years! This pattern comes from Modern Knitting Summer 1948.
To Fit: Finished measurements of 31-33-35 inches
Yarn: Any 1/4 inch soft ribbon could be used
Needles: 6mm and 5mm needles (USA 10 and 8)
Please note all my patterns have a faint watermark.
