This newsprint booklet was produced in Australia during World War Two, to cheer up bored knitters and add some glamour back to their lives in the time of rations and coupons.
Famous actresses from the 1940s model the designs, such as Rita Hayworth, Janet Blair, Linda Darnell and Ella Raines.
A small example of contents include:
– stylish dresses
– practical knitted jackets and skirts
– fun and gay cardigans
– vests and slippers
Most designs are sized for 32/34 inch bust.
