A really lovely example of late 1930s – early 1940s knit wear, from Australia. This is a really rare booklet, and styling/clothing on the models is to die for!
The designs capture the transition from 1930s frivolous styling, to the more conservative 1940s tailored styles that we associate with WWII. A reference to ‘Service Knits’ is made in the booklet, confirming it’s War-era date.
A total of 9 designs over 12 pages, mainly for women’s cardigans and jumpers. Two designs are included for a girl’s jumper and a man’s vest.
Please note all my patterns have a faint watermark.
