Curvy Month Pattern 10: Evelyn Swing Coat, c. 1940s

Curvy Month Pattern 10: Evelyn Swing Coat, c. 1940s

I hope you’ve enjoyed Curvy Month! I admit this pattern is probably my favourite from the whole month so I saved it for last.

Evelyn Bellamy’s book’s are full of beautiful designs and this beautiful swing coat is a great example (look at her walking stick!).  I love how structured this pattern is, with large cuffed sleeves and curved pockets.

  • To fit: 36-38″ bust (this would be pretty flexible though)
  • Yarn: 5-ply or sportsweight
  • Needles: 3.75mm

Hi I found and bought a small book in an op shop thinking of you and your blog. It’s a tailoring guide from the 40s with pattern pieces. I will scan the cover and email you and if you will use it you can have it.
