Curvy Month Pattern 4 : All the jumpers! Circa 1950s

Fancy a lumber jacket with a fair-isle chest? How about a plain pullover? Would you like a shawl collar, crew neck or polo?

Well, Patons 341 has them all, in a variety of sizes. This pattern gives you the options for cardigan jackets and jumpers, a variety of neck finishes and also includes four fair isle designs.

  • In sizes: 33-35, 37-39, 41-43, 45-46 for both men’s and women’s (men’s has a longer body)
  • Yarn: Patons Heyday Sports Wool in 1 oz skeins. This seems to be equivalent to a worsted weight or heavy worsted weight yarn
  • Needles: UK 10 and 6, metric 3.25mm and 5mm.
  • Published: Patons Knitting Book 314 (circa mid 1950s)
  • Tension: 9 sts to 2 inches
  • Side Note: I found reference to this yarn being 1 shilling and 9 1/2 pence per skein in 1953, so there you go.
