1940s Australiana Emus Jumper, vintage knitting pattern

Called ‘Stepping Out with Emus’, this fun novelty knit jumper showcases the patriotism still in play after WW2. The design features two emus on the chest, and an all over footprint design. The patterns are written not charted.
❤️ To fit chest: 32 and 34 inches
❤️ Yarn: Vintage 4ply (equivalent to 5ply now)
❤️ Needles: Size 32 – UK 9 and 12, Metric 3.75mm and 2.75mm. Size 34 – UK 8 and 12, Metric 4mm and 2.75mm
❤️ Tension: 6sts to the inch on size 9 needles.
