Curvy Month Pattern 10: Striped Dolman Jumper, c. 1950 (Marriners 69)

Well Curvy Month is coming to an end, but I feel like I saved the best for last. I really hope you’ve enjoyed it!
I’ve had so many requests for a copy of the bat-wing jumper I knitted recently – so of course I needed to share it with you.
The pattern is Marriner’s No. 69 – a dolman jumper with decorative contrast bands, a wide ribbed waist and fold back cuffs. The pattern comes from 1950, according to an advertisement I spotted in a Vogue Knitting Book.
- To fit: Busts 34-36 and 38-40. (this would be easy to make larger but adding some length to the body, and extra rows between the contrast bands)
- Yarn: Fingering weight
- Needles: UK 13 and 10, Metric 2.25mm and 3,25mm

Hello! I hope you find some great patterns to knit!
Pauline
Thanks so much for this amazing pattern! Have been searching a while for something like this! I’m now on the point of making the first stripe, but I’m doubting.. I’m making the sweater in the smaller size, but it still seems quite large and oversized.. Is that possible?

Hi doll, are you getting the correct tension/gauge?

Can you please tell me how much yarn would be used in each colour?
