Dapper Month 2: York in an easy stitch, c. 1952

York would be a great pattern for those who wanted to dip their toe into vintage knitting, as it’s a simple stitch pattern and thick (quick) yarn.

The pattern comes from the early 1950s, and features an attractive diamond pattern that’s simply created from knits and purls.
